Important issues:

In 1998, the naval architecture and ocean engineering was approved as the key discipline of Hubei Province.

In 2007, the ship and marine hydrodynamic laboratory was approved by Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory (funding)

In 2008, the design and construction of naval architecture and ocean structure was approved as a provincial key discipline

In 2010, the “Key Laboratory of Marine and Marine Hydropower Hubei Province” passed the acceptance test.

In 2013, naval architecture and ocean engineering was approved as the first-level discipline of Hubei Province.

In 2014, participated in the “Collaborative Innovation Center for Advanced Ship and Deep-Sea Exploration (2011 Plan)”.

In 2016, NA&OE was approved as a national defense specialty discipline of the “National Shipbuilding and Manufacturing” of the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau.

In 2017, the “National Engineering Laboratory for Marine Engineering Equipment Testing and Testing Technology”, which was led by CSIC 750 Test Site, was recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission.

In 2018, the “Engineering Research Center for Ship Data Technology and Support Software Hubei Province” was recognized by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

NA&OE is a member of the ITTC and ISSC
